Fragrance description Montale Aoud SafranIngredients
Montale Aoud Safran is a spicy-woody Oriental fragrance for men and women with distinctive notes of rare oud wood. It is part of the first French perfume line dedicated to the rare oud wood, an ingredient with a resinous aroma. This line has been launched by the Montale brand, which is characterised by its love of fragrances from the Orient and Arabia and its interest in their enchanting history. As with all the fragrances from the Montale brand, the greatly admired, yet somewhat enigmatic Pierre Montale has given the Aoud Safran Eau de Parfum an original character evoking a miraculous elixir or a rare magical salve.
The central ingredient in the aromatic composition of the Aoud Safran perfume, the wood of the Aquilaria tree, also known as eagle wood, agarwood, oud, aoud or (in Arabic) oudh, is a fascinating material with a resinous aroma and the most expensive wood in the world, and it has been used for centuries to make incense and (in particular Arabian) perfumes. This truly regal ingredient, also sometimes called “liquid gold” or the “wood of the gods”, is combined with roses and saffron in Aoud Safran by Montale.
The Aoud Safran Eau de Parfum represents an unusual combination of three ingredients with a powerful spiritual effect. Rare saffron, mystical oud wood and roses from Arabia come together to form a highly sensual perfume. The exquisiteness and warmth of saffron and the richness of the distinctive notes of the roses, which add sweetness to the surprisingly delicate oud wood, stand out in the minimalist composition.
Pierre Montale has created a perfume with a fresh, slightly sweet, yet sensuous, deep and warm aroma, while using only three fundamentally linear ingredients, as if the time he spent in Saudi Arabia had imbued the brand’s founder and the creator of all the perfumes in its portfolio with the mysterious abilities of an Oriental sorcerer.
Like all of Pierre Montale’s fragrant creations, Aoud Safran has been created using natural materials of the highest quality and in high concentrations which ensure that the fragrance has a long-lasting effect. Thanks to its warmth, Aoud Safran is particularly suitable for the colder months, but for all that its freshness and amicable nature mean that it can be worn all year round, both during the day and in the evening. It will appeal to men and women who like the combination of roses and oud wood with an original addition. Everybody who appreciates true quality and likes to feel the breath of the magical history of the Orient upon them should try Aoud Safran.
In addition to magical scents with masterfully balanced aromatic compositions, all the perfumes by Montale also come with captivating, original packaging. The design is enchanting thanks to its straightforward and pure elegance, which, in the case of Aoud Safran, has been enhanced with the use of a glossy pink brown colour scheme with flecks of gold, while the practical selection of the material also makes the flacon unique. Pierre Montale has made the original choice of an aluminium flacon which provides the perfume with perfect protection.
